Coder // Designer // Hacker

10 years of industry experience, lifelong cyberpunk.

I specialize in Frontend Web Development - building immersive interactive experiences that make headlines, along with highly optimized, conversion-centric marketing websites.

Beyond frontend, I have multiple other niche skills - ranging from tracking and analytics to virtual reality and custom private AI. I've worked on projects as simple as basic landing pages to as complex as live interactive art installations.

What I can do

//01_

Frontend Web Development

The foundation of my work is HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but beyond that I build websites with modern frameworks and tools such as React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.

I'm currently diving deeper into React and Astro, and I'm always looking for new ways to improve my skills.

Tracking & Analytics

I'm an expert in behavioral tracking and user analytics, having published multiple website plugins and tools for helping marketers understand their users - currently in use by a number of household name brands.

I specialize in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and I've acted as the tech lead on dozens of marketing campaigns.

UI/UX Design

Building websites isn't just about making them look cool, it's about making them work well and guiding your users to the information they need.

My approach focuses on creating intuitive, easy to use interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.

//04_

Accessibility

Accessibility is a crucial but often overlooked aspect of web development, and it's something I've always been a strong advocate for.

All of my projects are built with solid accessibility baked in from the start - but I'm also an expert at fixing up websites that aren't up to ADA specs.

SEO

Working in the marketing industry has given me a keen understanding of Search Engine Optimization, both from a content and a technical standpoint.

SEO is more than just keywords, it's about building your website in a way that's optimized for search engines, social media, and AI.

Custom Projects

I love a challenge, and I love to build truly unique and creative projects that go beyond the definition of just "website".

  • Touchscreen Kiosks for trade shows
  • Virtual Reality Experiences
  • Twitter-controlled Christmas Lights
  • Custom, Private AI Servers
  • And more...

Hobbies

  • Music: I play guitar, bass, and dabble in synthesizers. I'm forever in the middle of recording my demo album that never seems to be finished.
  • Books, Movies, and TV: I'm a huge media nerd, with some of my favorites being books like Neuromancer by William Gibson and films like The Matrix, both major influences on my style and philosophy.
  • Digital Art: I've done graphic design work for bands and artists - once I was even asked for a sample t-shirt by a Japanese heavy metal band.

Location

Based in the Pennsylvania/New Jersey area.

I went to college in upstate New York, studied abroad in London, and have traveled to countries all over the world.

I've worked with clients from all over the US, and from across the globe. From local brick and mortar shops on Main Street to Fortune 500s and multinational conglomerates.

Values

  • Open Source Technology: My personal projects are typically free to use, download, modify, and learn from.
  • Sustainable Technology: I recycle old tech for new projects. That old laptop you're about to throw out could be your new private AI server.
  • Developer Ease-Of-Use: I build my projects with lots of documentation and easy to read code, so anyone can jump in and use it.

Goals

Modern technology, as advanced as it is, can be a bit dull and boring at times. We walk around with computers in our pockets that are a million times more powerful than the computers that NASA used for the moon landings - and it's just a boring everyday thing.

I want to change that. I want the future that we were promised by science fiction. Technology doesn't have to be plain - it's up to us coders to make things exciting and fun to use.
